New to Tai Chi?

Here are some important points about the system and how we approach teaching...

Tai Chi is a comprehensive system of exercise

Tai Chi incorporates movement and stillness, stretching and relaxation, meditation and breathing techniques to develop balance, coordination, mobility, strength, stamina, mental calmness and concentration.

You don’t have to be super- fit to start learning

Tai Chi is designed to be approachable by anyone, regardless of age or level of physical fitness. You will always be given exercises that suit your needs and encourage the natural development of your body.

Tai Chi is a safe form of exercise

The first thing you'll learn in Tai Chi is how to make each exercise work well for your body.  Simple techniques and principles help to ensure that everything you learn works for you to improve your health and fitness.

Quick results

Like anything else worth learning, Tai Chi takes time to master but most people feel benefits of their practise within the first 4 weeks of starting a class.

The right approach

We find it essential to have a friendly, safe and fun atmosphere in our classes in which everyone feels welcome.  By balancing this with a focused approach to learning and a dedication to providing high quality instruction, we strive to make sure you get the best from your experience of Tai Chi.
